    Card acquiring host · KAL

    KTH

    Kalignite Terminal Host

A card-acquiring host that authorises, routes and settles transactions for ATM, kiosk and POS networks.

    • ATM, kiosk and POS
    • Visa, Mastercard, American Express
    • Cloud or on-premises

    Card acquiring host

KTH drives your self-service network: it authorises transactions in real time, routes them to the right destination and handles acquiring and settlement.

It connects to back-end systems through APIs or web services, so new transaction types can be added without a major host project. It can run in the cloud or on-premises.

    What KTH does

    Designed to keep authorising

A fault-tolerant, thoroughly tested software architecture keeps transactions flowing for maximum uptime.

    Grows with your network

A microservices design on virtual servers scales as you add servers, in the cloud or on-premises, on low-cost hardware.

    Protection at every layer

HSM-based PIN handling, TLS, VPN and IPsec encryption, TR-31 and TR-34 key management and EMV support. KAL describes KTH as a PCI-certified solution.

New transactions without a host rebuild

Connect to back-end and third-party systems through APIs, web services or a bus interface. The KTH Design Studio and SDK are included, and core updates stay compatible with your customisations.

    The Kalignite software suite

Where it sits in the Kalignite suite

The Kalignite suite runs and controls ATM networks of every size and complexity. Each product has its own job.

Each ATM runs Windows, XFS service providers, Kalignite Platform and an application, either K3A or Kalignite NDC. The application sends transactions across the network to the KTH host, which connects to core banking and card schemes. KTC, in the data centre, monitors and updates the ATMs through Kalignite Platform.
